Now you can send your prayers to the Kotel (Western Wall in Jerusalem) not only via Twitter and iPhone, but from Android powered phones as well.

Over two years ago Alon Nir formed service called “Tweet your prayer”. As the name suggests, this service was originally launched on Twitter as a @TheKotel, where it was quickly adopted by many and given much attention around the world.

“Tweet Your Prayers”  was born from the belief that the Western Wall should be easily accessible to all people – from all over the world – and for free.

It soon became clear that this service should be accessible beyond Twitter. First was created app for iPhone and now app for Android is available.

Using the speech-to-text feature your phone has, you can actually say your prayer out loud and have it sent simultaneously and automatically to the Western Wall.

As the last remnant of the Second Temple, the Western Wall  is believed to have a greater Divine presence than anywhere else on earth. For hundreds of years, people have placed notes with their prayers in the Wall’s crevices, believing that it serves as a direct channel to the Almighty.
