Amazing work by Accentus Ensemble by artists who demonstrate their love and care for this genre. Not a bad piece in this collection. Listen to the wonderfully complex rhythm arrangements of  “Si Verias” and “Sa’dawi, and the infusion of love and longing in “La Serena.” This virtuoso ensemble has connected to the soul of Sefarad. I don’t know how “authentic” these performances are since the sleeve notes are quite poor in this respect. But the combination of medieval instruments with oriental/Arabic rhythms & harmonies (plus bargain price!) make this a very attractive CD. (Amazon)
