THIS IS A SPECIAL HOLIDAY VERSION IN COLLABORATION WITH CHABAD.ORG. NOW YOU CAN ALSO SEND YOUR PRAYERS TO THE REBBE’S OHEL!

With Send A Prayer you can easily write a prayer on your iPhone or iPod touch and send it to the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Your prayers will be printed out in Jerusalem and concealed between the stones of the Western Wall.

Once you write your prayer, it will be stored on your device and you will also be able to share it by email with your friends and family, or share a URL. (Sharing via Facebook and Twitter will be added soon!).

The Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall or the Kotel in Hebrew, is located in Jerusalem and is one of the most significant spiritual sites in the world. It is the last remnant of the Second Temple, which stood in Jerusalem between 516 BCE and 70 CE, when it was destroyed by the Romans. Millions of people from all over the world gather at the Western Wall every day to pray for peace, prosperity and well-being. It is a centuries long tradition for people to write notes of prayer and place them between the ancient stones of the Wall.

Not everyone, however, can afford the time and cost of traveling to Jerusalem to place their prayer among the stones of the Western Wall. Now, with the new and only mobile app that sends your prayer directly to the Western Wall, this problem is forever solved!

In this special Holiday version in collaboration with Chabad.org, users can send their prayers to the Rebbe’s Ohel. The Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, considered one of the foremost spiritual leaders of the 20th century, was a selfless leader and lover of the Jewish People. As in his lifetime, when people would flock to the Rebbe for blessings and advice, people from all over the world visit his resting place, considered to be a place of great holiness, to beseech G-d and invoke G-d’s blessing for all matters personal and communal. People often describe their prayer experience there as cathartic and uplifting. Many who are unable to make it in person send letters by email or fax to be read or placed at the holy resting place.
