Russian-speaking iPhone and iPad users got  a few new apps: Tanach, Siddur and application of the Jewish Russian-language portal Toldot.ru.

App:  ТаНаХ by Toldos Yeshurun

ТаНаХ – the text of the Torah with the classical commentary of  Rashi, books Nevi’im (Prophets) and Ketuvim (Writings), translated into Russian. You can leave your own comments and create bookmarks. Tanach app includes calendar with current Parsha and basic astronomical time (sunrise and sunset, the beginning and end of reading the Shema and prayer) at the location of the user.

App:  Siddur by Toldos Yeshurun

Siddur – conveniently siddur with short explanations on the order of prayers. Includes complete weekday prayers, prayers for the new month, fast days (except kinnos for Tishah B`Av, Chanukah, Purim and Chol Hamoed Pesach and Succos (except Hoshanah Rabbah) in Russian and Hebrew (Nusach Ashkenaz). The siddur also includes a transliteration of the Mourner`s Kaddish, Birkas Hamazon and Krias Shma in Nusach Ashkenaz as well as the Mourner`s Kaddish, traveler`s prayer and prayer for sustenance in Nusach Edos Hamizrach (for Sefardim).

Toldot.ru – options for viewing and saving materials from the site (in Russian) on the device: Materials of the Day, Ask the Rabbi, articles, blogs, audio and video classes. Stream view and listening to video and audio classes with the option of saving them on the device. When saving video classes, the audio version of the class is saved to save traffic.
