A new Jewish app, Mezuzah Guide, has just been added to the iPhone and Android app stores. The Mezuzah Guide has been created by the same developers who brought you the Tefillin Guide.

The Mezuzah Guide contains everything you need to help you put up a mezuzah on the spot, as well as handy tools for those new to the task. Features include a tutorial illustrating how to properly affix the mezuzah, a social integration system, Mezuzah blessings in various languages, and a new feature which enables the user to calculate the correct Mezuzah placement without the aid of a measuring tape and a calculator. It is important to note that in order to properly calculate the height for the Mezuzah you must be standing exactly in front of the door posts.

The app was developed by The Saber Team, a Crown Heights based website developing company which counts the ”Chayenu” booklet and Tzivos Hashem’s ”Jewish Kids Got Talent” among its clients. The team developed the app to be smooth, effective and super easy to use.

The reason we made this app is because I knew that there must be an easier way to put up a Mezuzah than using a calculator and a measuring tape,” said Shmuli Aber of The Saber Team, ”and so people who don’t know how to put up a Mezuzah will finally get a chance to do it.

The next upgrade is scheduled to come out in late June. It will include a more sophisticated social networking system along with a Sofer contact form and Mezuzah checking functionality.

This all-in-one application will give you all the necessary tools to help you put up a Mezuzah on your door. The app provides tutorials, instructions and prayers. It is indeed the ultimate guide, accurate and clever piece of software, but don’t forget, in case of doubt, an Orthodox Rabbi should be consulted.
