An iPhone app called  GrapeVine: The Jewish Connector  was released a week ago.  The iTunes Store description compares the app to entertainment giants Pandora and Netflix in that it has a “virtual concierge that suggests Jewish opportunities that you might like“.

GrapeVine  “is your lifelong, personal virtual concierge that suggests Jewish opportunities (people, events, articles, content) that you might like based on your interests,  friends,  life stage, and geography.  GrapeVine is adaptive and customizable, allowing you to simply navigate your Jewish journey as you evolve, move, and change.

The app is a new innovation of  the already existing  GrapeVine website, which was launched at the beginning of 2012.

GrapeVine’s  mobile app introduces a number of additional tools and features to enhance your ability to find the right opportunities for you.  Now fully integrated with Facebook, you can easily identify what your friends are doing. With one touch, you can bookmark or register for opportunities, save them to your calendar, and share them with your friends.

GrapeVine also provides you with an easy way to quickly provide feedback on opportunities you’ve  selected.

Its Facebook Fan Page  says that  “GrapeVine maximizes Jews’ connection to Jewish life from ‘womb to tomb.’  It also changes the community and organizations’ approach from program-centric to consumer-centric.”

App is free so whatever developer says you can check it by yourself.  Let us know in the comments how it works for you.
