The Tanya (תניא) is an early work of Chasidic philosophy, by Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the founder of  Chabad Chasidism. It is a  fundamental, classic work upon which all concepts of  Chabad Chasidism are based. It offers guidance for every facet of the day-to-day life of a Jew in his  service to G-d.  In Chabad it is called “the Written Torah of Chasidut“.

The Tanya — or “Collected Talks,” as Rabbi Schneur Zalman of  Liadi, titled it — is meant to guide you to the wisdom you need to fulfill your purpose in life.
