An Israeli  startup  called  Moment.me  has  launched  a  new  service  for event planners, allowing  them  to  create free mobile microsites for their events, it announced this week.

Currently, all the online information about an event is scattered across the various websites of the promoter, the band, artist, or sports team, venue, and even on blogs and social media,” Moment.me Chairman and Co-Founder Eilon Tirosh said in a statement. “With this new service, Moment.me uses smart aggregation to automatically bring all that information together in one place, allowing event organizers, bands and teams to easily create one mobile site for their event’s participants.

Mobile websites are websites that are optimized for viewing on smartphones and tablets. Creating them for their events makes it possible for planners to share information seamlessly with attendees and prospects on the go, and to maximize revenues by expanding attendees’ ability to buy tickets, services or merchandise any time, any place.

Mobile.me’s solution allows planners to create these sites quickly and easily using an online tool with plug-and-play functionality: Planners simply enter their event time and location; choose from a variety of optional features, such as maps and social media integration; then publish their site.

Site creation is free, but event planners also can access premium features to further customize their event sites.

These mobile microsites will serve as a digital reflection of the event and will connect brands and event promoters more directly with their relevant audience,” said CEO and Co-Founder Ronny Elkayam. “Our vision has always been a world where technology helps people get the most out of their real-life experiences. No matter how big or small the event, it should have a rich, mobile web representation, and now it can.
