San Francisco Jewish Film Festival is the oldest and largest Jewish film festival in the world. The three-week summer festival is held in San Francisco, California, usually at the Castro Theater in San Francisco and other cinemas in San Francisco, Berkeley, San Rafael, and Palo Alto, and features contemporary and classic independent Jewish film from around the world.

The San Francisco Jewish Film Festival also maintains an online archive of Jewish film, and holds individual film screenings throughout the year.

The 2014 Festival (July 24 – August 10) includes a lineup of  70 films from 18 countries  and eight world premieres. The signature summer film festival showcases independent film while catalyzing discussions, challenging expectations and expanding notions of Jewish identity and culture. This year is no exception. The lineup reflects the full diversity of Jewish experiences from Argentina to the Philippines and spotlights new works by talented emerging filmmakers of screens both large and small as well as legendary icons of our cinematic past.
