כ״ח באלול ה׳תשע״ה (September 12, 2015)
The High Holiday Season is a consecrated time. A time designated for personal reflection, spiritual growth, seeking forgiveness, and examining shortcomings through intense and focused praying.
Cantor Emanuel Perlman opens a musical doorway, unlocking the time-honored liturgy designed to purify our hearts and souls, and renew our commitment to G-d. Rabbi Moshe Shualy asks informational and informed questions regarding the High Holidays.
You can select the question you desire while listening to prayers such as the haunting melody of Kol Nidre and stirring Avinu Malkeinu. (The High Holiday prayers were recorded at Soundtrack Recording Studios in New York City.)
Cantor Emanuel Perlman has concertized extensively throughout the United States. Larry King said that Perlman is “a combination Caruso and Mel Torme.” He earned a Bachelors Degree in Music and Voice from Rhode Island College and a Masters Degree in Psychiatric Social Work from Yeshiva University. Emanuel Perlman also attended the Cantors Institute at the Jewish Theological Seminary. Emanuel has studied voice with the eminent Dr. William Riley in New York City since 1998. He studied voice and opera for ten years with the late Kurt Baum, known as the “generic tenor” of the Metropolitan Opera. He is currently serving as the cantorial representative for the Conservative Movement of Judaism’s Committee on Jewish Laws and Standards.
