Today, all over the world, people of all faiths and cultures are observing Yom HaShoah, the annual Day of Remembrance for those who perished in the Holocaust. Yom is Hebrew for “Day” and HaShoah means “of Catasrophe” .

Fascinating and inspiring stories of the people who saved lives during the WWII.

The WWII and the Holocaust is the darkest times in the history of mankind. It is a time of overwhelming terror and enduring grief. It appears there was no trace of human kindness to lighten that darkness. It is said to be the ultimate expression of man’s inhumanity toward man.

Yet, there were deeds of courage and compassion during the Holocaust that we can take some comfort about our past and hope for our future.

Heroes of the WWII is a collection of stories of extraordinary men and women, who, at great personal risks, have done all they could to save lives. Many have been honored, but Most of their deeds may have gone unnoticed.

This application will try to solve this unfairness by allowing public to contribute stories that have never been told.
